Flax Gift Gallery began with a desire to give visitors a better shopping experience, which included sourcing products direct from some of the most talented artisans in New Zealand and focusing on NZ gifts with a twist - contemporary, quirky, well-designed gifts and products, as well as nostalgic bits of kiwiana.

The name of the shop was always a given for owner, Karen. Given the shop’s location in Foxton and the integral place of flax in the town’s history, the name pays homage to all that history.
